Welcome to the dark side. This gourmet fragrance is thé perfect introduction into unapologetic niche perfumery. A lot of 'introduction fragrances' tend to lean a bit to the designer side of fragrances, not with this one. Arabians Tonka welcomes 'newbies' into the world of niche perfumery without disregarding 'les anciens'. The star player is the Tonka Bean in this one. The best way I can describe this note is the smell of almonds being coated in freshly carved out vanilla and a pinch of cinnamon powder. This note in combination with the Sugar Cane has the potential to get 'cloyingly' sweet, but the Rose-Oud elegantly contains the sweetness.
